18s will be a buttload less work than the 20s

Well, how much work is involved in both? Right now the truck is bagged, but on factory wheels. Whoever bagged it, didn't know what they were doing. I am going to cut all the stuff off the front and re-do it. It has a 2 link out back, but I have a brand new fourlink waiting to go on. Waiting for the heat here in GA to go away. It doesn't lay out hardly at all right now. I think up front it's laying on a combination of bottomed out bag and exhaust.

Reason I am asking, is I am going to bodydrop it eventually, and I can get 18s or 20s for about the same price. So the price of wheels and tires are not an issue.

18's will be easier (and in my opinion, seems to look more proportionate, but that's up to you!)

I went with 18's so I could fit a little bit bigger tire. Being a daily rig as well, I didn't want rubber bands for tires. Ya can't see every pothole or bump. Runnin 18x8 with 235/40 tires, same height as stock.

Bodied on 20s looks cool but you won't have an inner fender in the front and you'll be on rubber bands and you'll feel every bump in the road. 18s you can have a bigger tire than 20s will have and you can run an inner fender. To me big rims dont make the truck cooler. If it's laid out and clean then I'll take tht over a truck on big rims

do I need spindles for 18s? I know some trucks will lay out with all stock componets. This is my first Yota, and want to do it right my first time. The rims I like the best out of the ones I've found are 18s, so I will probably just run those with like a 225/40 so I still can drive it as much as possible. You guys hook me up with what I need to do to fit some 18s. Keep in mind, I only want to re bag this thing once, so I want it to lay out after I Z it, but not going to do that right away.

Yeah, you'll need the spindles to get decent camber. Come to think of it, 18's may not even lay out without them. I have the spindles and don't have an extra 2 inches of travel if they weren't there.
I built my setup to allow the installation of 20's in case myself or the next guy ever wants them, but right now I wouldn't even consider going bigger. I say that, but to get the 20's to lay out, I'd have to really tub the firewall, right now the tub is minimal.
