What is the bellhousing pattern? Is it a direct bolt up in place of a 20/22r?

I have a chance to buy one that was in a big gay toyota show truck that from what I'mtold could light the 44" tires up at will. It has dual side drafts and was built by TRD themselves. Only has about 1000 miles on it too.

I'm hoping its a bolt up, if it is I'll see if I can come up with the scratch. :D

    Bellhousing/clutch is the same.

I think mounts will be a little different, but you should be able to figure it out.

Saweet! I tried searching but my google-fu on my phone sucks.

I was planning on building some bombproof mounts anyway so looks like I'll have to start saving my pennies. :D

The 18RG-U engine bolts directly into 1979-1983 Toyota trucks using factory parts. I used to race my truck and had the TRD prepped 18RG-U series motor. You could contact TRD and they should be able to give you the parts list. Whether the parts are available anymore is another question. The motor and parts are expensive!!!

Awesome, so what kinda power band would I expect? I'd imagine its all up high from 3-7k if not higher. This one has supposedly dyno'd over 150 hp. I've heard they are very expensive to build IF you can find the parts. The only reason I'm looking at it is because its fresh, vintage and when it scatters I can get my money back out of it by parting it out. :D

The engine is for sale complete end to end for $1200, I think its worth it.

The power output of an 18RG-U depends on what you want to do with it. An off-road racing motor is done different then a drag race, circle track or autocross motor. HP can range from 150-300+ and redline RPM can go up to 10,000. They are very expensive motors and if you blow one there is not much of a market for the parts in the US. My current motor, a 22R Off-Road stage 5 pro stroker built by LC Engineering, pulls 175 HP normal and 285 HP with Nitrous (Dynoed) and is redlined at 8,500 RPM. I can light up all 4 of my 33" tires when I want to but good tires are expensive.
