ok first off have a 85 22re that wont start!

during the start of this project the truck ran fine, when we decided to body drop it i unplugged everything so the cab could come off. so when it came time to wire and plug everything back up it wont start!!!! turns over fine, its getting fuel, and gets power to the coil. it will pop about once while turning over and we can smell exhaust like it wants to start.

thinkin the injector plugs may be out of order? is there any way to tell? what do yall think?

the injector plugs only can only really go on one way, i say that becuase of the wire lengths. are u getting spark? have u double checked to make sure all wires are plugged back in?

    Hi OLT,
Double check to make sure you got all the ground wires hooked up. Sounds suspiciously like what happened to me after an engine rebuild. I found a ground wire I missed under the intake manifold. Hooked it up & ran like a champ!

Yeah, I could be wrong, but I think the injectors are batch fired, so if you did get them mixed up, it wouldn't matter.

Definitely check the coil and igniter wiring and grounds.
