put the 18"s on my 84



and i pulled the valve cover off of the 94



the oil and coolant were mixed in both the radiator and the oil pan. no bueno

 

forgot to mention that i also pulled the intake and exhaust manifolds off and as soon as my garage is free i will be moving it in to pull the engine.i got a ticket last night on my way to work for not having yellow blinker bulbs on the back of my 84. he also wrote me up for not having my front liscense plate on my bumper. so i'll be working on that stuff today. i also have to go to the dmv and see how much i owe them on my 94

 

just got a letter from the dmv for my 84. registration is due 9/30. now i have a deadline. plenty of time . maybe doing the bed swap this weekend

yeah, i pretty much bought the rims and got the truck for free

 

so i just took off the head and....

piston #1 is gone
head is toast

the block is still good though. hopefully the bottom end is alright. i didn't see any metal when i drained the oil so it should be. i'd post pictures but i soaked my phone in beer and the camera doesnt work

im actually gonna sell this block to my friend so he can build a new motor for his 93. the motor from my 84 is goin in here.









Bed swaped:

 

smoked the taillights the other day. gonna hit them with some clear coat in a little bit. i think they'll turn out ok. just put my 17's on too. gonna get as close to pulling the motor out as i can today. going comping on my days off so probably wont get it running til the end of next week.

the bed is from a 93. might trade back cuz my buddy wants it back.

sold the 18's for $260. almost paid for the truck

i just have to flush out the radiator cuz theres still remnants of oil in it.
