Bagging rear on 89 standard cab and have minor rust on frame. A friend of mine says I should just back half with a new frame set up for bags instead of using old frame with bridge set-up. Any suggestions or pics of work similiar. Would like to do it right the first time.
Measure everything out as many times as u can. I've done it once on a c10. I have pics in the off topic section. Get all your cuts the same. What I did was I got one side cut an everything how he wanted then I cut out the other then tack everythin together before welding in
Thanks for info. My friend thinks he can do this better than using a bridge and make it look cleaner. ur pics are in off topic section, not sure what u mean. I am new to site.
I'll try an find the link. But it all depends you can make a sik design in a bridge an not have to back half it. But back halves are always nice. It all depends on what you want tho. Some ppl think a notch is good enough for them an less work. Others will do a back half or a full frame possibilities are endless
Started Back-Half Started to do the work on rear of truck. Got bed removed. Removed gas tank, exhaust, rear shocks, etc. make all measurements and start making a new back-half. Will keep posted.
