i want to change the colour of the console lights. now, i know that the globes are usually normal ones, and its the actuall plastic of dials etc that determine colour. i want to change mine to blue. can it be done?

Did this on both an 87 and a 93

The bulbs determine color on everything but the clock(your stuck with green on the clock but if you spray paint it's face with candy apple blue it will look more blue than green)
The hard part is the heater controls, the bulb is tiny and hard to find a colored replacement
The rest are gauge bulbs... Easy find on the Internet

I put blue bulbs in my cluster, but because of the white housing the light looks white.

I put LED's in my cluster, temp gauge, license, and 'city lights'

Unfortunately I ordered 1 less 194 bulb so my cluster isn't evenly lit but still looks good for now. Also, I managed to order just 1 bulb for my headlights...makes sense to order just one when you need two!

pics don't do any justice b/c they were on my phone. I will get pics of the city lights when my new order comes in and I will also update the cluster.

    Only took about 30 minutes

    i would imagine so...my a/c was a #74..on my cluster i used a couple LED strips, but the bulb is a 194

i put an extra resistor on it cuz it was too bright as you can see, but this is how it was before the added resistor..i'll get a current pic later but its perfect now..

yeah if you get the normal ones..they have some that have all kinds of leds sticking out everywhich way..some of them are too long..just see how much room you have and go look at the measurements of the LED to be sure, thats only if you buy something like this

i have a base model 2wd. i know i need one 74 for the climate but which 74 should i get (im buying from superbrightleds.com)

my options are 74-x, 74-xhp, 74-xhp3 which one should i get?

also how many do i need for the speedometer, gas gauge, and water temp? do they take three 194's? and if so should i get the kind with 5 leds in them?

so if i do that ill only need 3x194 bulbs and 1x74 bulb right?
