i would'nt use that quick fix. and chances are if you havent severly overheated it you wont need anything resurfaced. just put a new gasket in, but make sure you get the mating surface on the head and block nice and clean.

Thats how i knew my timing chain was starting to go, before the noise. my coolant was getting low. Always filled it up and cheanged out hoses, then it started making noise. Also i wouldnt use that quick fix stuff. Its exactly that, a quick fix with a lot of headachs later. Unless you plan to sell the truck. In my opinion thats kinda jacked up, but do as you must.

I used a Fel-pro on my 86, it lasted a surprisingly long time considering how many times I saw it hit almost 7k rpms, and how much nitrous was being sprayed through the engine. However, if I had it to do over again, I'd go with a Cometic MLS, but I tend to be very "rough" on vehicles.

ya i would use a fel-pro thats what i have on my truck an i havent had a problem out of it, also if you want you can get the head decked it will give you a lil more compression if thats what your wantin to do that ends for a lil more power also
