    Hey everyone,

I have not posted here in while, we recently moved back to our home town due to a job transfer, it was a blessing, we are much happier.

Well my wife gave me the ok to do my yearly truck mod (s) and I chose to concentrate on the motor area. Here are some pictures of before, after and the information.

    Motor, all LCE:
    Wires: 8.5 Magnecore
    Plugs: NCK
Distributor: LCE Pro with polished end
Dress up kit: Black valve cover, polished top wire loom holder, K&N breathers
timing and idle set to specs

    New cooling system;
Radiator and cap (tried to get a stainless one (radiator) but not avaiable for pre 84)
    upper hose and lower hose
    polished water neck
    polished hose clamps
    thermostate
chrome flex fan with poslied biller adapter

New Vlair 480 chrome compressor and cleaned up all wiring with (2) terminal strips, much cleaner and truck's tank airs up in about 3 minutes when tank is completely empty.

    Pete

PS. Please let me know what everyone thinks. The truck runs and drives better than ever, very strong grab when accelerating.

I had the motor professionally steamed cleaned before I did all the detail mods, made a huge differemce apperence wise, cost me about $80 and took them about 2 hours. If your interested just call an auto detailing shop in the phone book and ask them about motor detailing, they should offer that service.

    http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3689.

The truck looks the same currently as it does here, the only change has been under the hood and bed area. Went to a local show about a month ago but the same style of picture as this one.

But hopefully thats all going to change around this time next year.

Always been a favorite of mine. So how does the new motor run and feel power wise? Keep up the clean work.

Thanks for the compliments, really appreciate it! Motor itself is not new, just new parts and it runs and drives better than ever, very strong grab when accelerating, fast startup and best of all no more fuel probelms since getting the weber 32/36, new fuel pump, lines and really nice glass filter about a year ago. Like other members have said here, anyone having any problems with there stock carb, get a weber 32/36 replacement, well worth the $ and best of all your carb problems are over!!! My stock carb was shot and was not worth rebuilidng as well as my main fuel line was ony getting 40% flow.

I know, quite a few small ones, but if all goes as planned, next spring (2011) they will all be gone along with a whole new looking truck, its body work and paint time including a complete color change :D I can't wait!!!
