Very little weight is over the rear axle. So any gains are to be had from the fronts being upgraded.

One guy was making a kit to use 12.1 wilwood rotors and 4 piston calipers,

Ive got 95 LS400 rotors and calipers on mine
And going to upgrade to 13 in 94+ Cobra's eventually.

The G code axle im building has (a) 94+ cobra rotor mounted to the axle. I gots to get the calipers and fab a bracket still. But thats the easy part.

    Hope it helps. Oliver

Since I have my front rotors off, and my rearend out, I was looking to see if the front rotors would work. After a brief inspection I realized that the stock front rotors have 5 holes for mounting bolts. But these holes don't appear to be drilled on the same center as the bolt pattern for rims (114.3 x 5). Therefore you would have to drill bigger holes in order to fit the front rotors on the rearend lug pattern. Not to mention you would need to make some heavy duty (and largely offset) caliper mounts. At least if using the stock front calipers.
So that is just to show you that I was thinking the same thing. But there are probably easier ways to get rear discs.
