Lowering a 76

    I own a 1976 yota and i want to slam it on the ground but the only way I've seen for the front is to cut the springs does anyone know of any other way

    search button might help. I don't have a 76, but i think you can heat them.

    Heat them up is almost like cutting them. Will make the ride bouncy. You can also swap out the coils from another vehicle. Someone said they swaped to xterra coils. Go look around in your year section and read through everyones builds.

    I have a 76 as well and will be cutting a coil from the springs

    This has worked just fine in the past with my other rides as long as I install new lifetime warranty shocks in there too

    Maybe add some new bushings and tighten everything up proper

    This will reduce ride height and therefore create way less travel making the ride "bumpier" which is well worth the look

    LOL! those are super special camber correcting coils! They use the slop from bad bushings and worn out balljoints in the front end to "correct" camber as the suspension travels..They are rare and hard to find...is he selling those?

    I'm gonna be putting bags in mine has anybody seen how I can go about putting her on the ground,I was thinking of just relocating the top mount to give me more play.

    sarcasm....drunk mechanic knows to much technical can make it sound almost plausable but still seems just a tad off sarcasm..lol
