come in 2wd drive form and non-prerunner stance???? My salesman at local dealer called me today and told me that toyota had announced that for 2011 there would be a double cab tacoma available in 2wd format. Is this true? ANyone heard of this?? Can it be that toyota is finally going to make a truck they should have been making all along? I told 'ol dude he best not be fukn with me on this, he said he heard it from the big-wigs. If it is true, then i will finally be driving a slammed four-door, somewhat mini-truck sized truck, in the next year
As of right now, I would say no. I'm up to date on all my product training, and there is nothing on the 2011 models yet, and nothing as a mid year update. Since they closed the NUMMI plant, and the others have to pick up production. I wouldnt expect that to happen if it does untill a total model refresh.
found out last nite my local dealer gets their first double cab 2wd tacoma on aug. 16......been waiting along time for this. should be picking me up a new pickup about aug, 16
negative. this will be a completely separate vehicle, non prerunner stance, 4 door tacoma. will only be available with a 5 foot bed, only drawback. 99.9% sure about all of this. i am good buddies with a top southeast toyota salesman, he has even told me how many my dealer is getting, what colors they will be available in and how much $$
got two pics in my cell phone the guy took out of the new brochure and sent me. no usb cable for it though just wait, couple weeks and they should be getting to most dealers
