when i got my 4link installed my buddy who installed it said he had to cut the ebrake when he installed the 4link because it was getting pulled...so ive been without one since and besides it being dangerous and annoying having to always turn off the car and put it in gear (i have manual) for anything i want to go ahead and put it back on.

i noticed he cut it from the mount right under where the cab starts, to the rear brakes right before it goes into the brake drums. now i dont have a photo of how the stock brake line looks like, i know its a metal cable like the bike brake ones, so im thinking i go get a longer one, and get those fittings you crimp for those types of wires and just get a length long enough to clear the 4link...does this sound like it would work out right? and those with airbags, did you have a problem with your ebrake line?

I got e-brake cables from an extra cab truck, they're ~13" longer, some of which is in the loose cable secton in the front. It's only about 4 inches longer, so I used a peice of 1/2" tube to space the cable mount on the rod it bolts to.

Yea but what if you want to drift and have airbags? Hydraulic e-brake and rear discs I guess.

if u wanna drift mini truck style i say air it out and dragand turn rapidly :) see sparks fly and smoke..better then D1 drifting already if u ask me...haha...i had E brake on mine when it was bagged didnt bind anything until i hoped the rear of the truck and the drive shaft came out and snapped the E brake..so OH well...wenever i park my truck i lay her out anyway thats the whole point of bags..if you dont use your frame as E brake then its useless too bag it. and if your brakesystem fails because a popped hose or something you can always drag it to saftey...and bags also help with it getting stolen..your truck wont get stolen unless you leave your box unlocked to air up then your fcked

Oh that's excellent. I was just going to buy a 2000 Chrysler Sebring handbrake setup. ksport...huh I'll look into that. It looks like the same one as in Tanner Foust's Scion drift car.
Until then I'll keep ripping the stock e-brake.:nana:
