vests in back of cab?

    im sure you know what im referring to, i hope so at least....what i want to know is do these vents offer any function that is needed? i want to shave them. can it happen without sacrificing something?

    they help when you shut your door. If you shave them like i did on one of my yota's when you slam the door it almost shuts then the air pressure in the cab get too high and the door stops just before its all the way shut. all trucks and most cars have these somewhere in them..

    Yup its to release cabin pressure wen shutting the door. Just open the window a bit before u shut it if you do delete em. But wen ur getn out i guess u just slam the door:shrug:

    ya you can crack your window, but even then its still kinda hard..and trying to just slam it makes it worse, you have to close it slowly with the cab vents shaved to get it to shut, they are there for when you do slam it lol.

    well...im sure they could be relocated? theyre kind of really ugly to me...but if theyre needed i'll keep em....but is it advisable to move them?
    i imagine they could be made to look nice where the older toys had them, right on the b-pillar. i think that would be kind of a nice touch..

    maybe get some of the older yota ones and put em on your truck and then shave the vents in the back. I would say you could put em on the firewall somewhere or under the cowel but you would really have to mess with not getting water in them...idk the orientation that would work best, maybe a trial and error thing.
