Hello everybody. I'm from Escondido, CA. And recently had the opportunity to take a '76 hilux, for free, but I had to go all the way to San Francisco to pick it up, call me crazy but the total cost of the trip was about $220.00 including gas, U-haul trailer and food the truck is in pretty bad shape, but I will try to do my best to take it out again to the streets and I hope to learn a lot more about these trucks on this forum. Some pictures when I saw it for the first time. Hauling the great grandfather the first engine wash and this is what I've done to the interior so far (if you have a seat for this truck let me know) cell phone pics. Sorry if I posted to much pictures. .
nah man, great start!! welcome to the site! you already got the picture requests out of the way since everyone wants to see what you got. looks like youre off and runnin already on the progress. truck dont look too horrible, its pretty much all there so you got somethin to work with...... im assuming that it runs and if so, 220 bucks for a runnin truck with all 4 wheels that hold air aint bad at all welcome and good luck on your truck!
Thanks for the comments guys! The truck runs, but still needs work. I already bought the Haynes repair manual to make it run well,(hopefully) because as you guys know I have to pass the smog test every 2 years and that sucks! because I was very happy when my friend told me that the truck was a '75, but that was the production date (11/75) actually the truck is registered as a '76
