would the 92-95 pickup grills
fit on a 89?
does is also matter if the grill is for a 4wd or a 2wd?

All grilles are inter-changable between 89 and 95. The 2wd core support is a little different than the 4wd, but any grille can still be installed with some minor work, mostly to the grille. The 4Runner grille and headlights are different from 2wd 89-95, but can also be installed with some minor work, mostly to the core support. These grills can also be installed on an 87 and earlier body style with some minor work, because the height is the same.

the grilles are just plastic work really...89-95 all the grilles interchange. only thing about the 4wd grilles is that they are a tad lower in the middle, 92-95 i believe.

if you want a good looking grille, get the 92-95 2WD grille

I put a 92-95 4wd grille on mine with no modification.

 

Removing some clips.

 

Zip ties will be your friend lol
