I just made up some 1990 4runner 4x4 buckets to fit into my 1992 2wd extra cab. All I had to do was extend the rear bolt mounting hole(by tunnel) back about a half inch. You could just notch it to make it fit but I welded an extension onto the end. It's easy. I also used black fabric spray but that's another story.;)

that's odd... i didn't have to make any mods like that to install buckets from a 4runner or truck where my bench seat was...

the bench uses only the outside mounts near the doors which are the same for a bucket seat
mine by the trans tunnel in the front are missing the weld nut but the hole is there
the rear mount by the tunnel is the seat belt mount... it uses a odd size 11mm bolt like all the seat belt hardware does normally the seats bolt in with a 10mm bolt, you can just bolt the seat over the cloth belt mount or to truly convert to 4runner/truck buckets you need the plastic ridgid belt receivers and they bolt to the side of the tunnel with a weld nut. my truck was missing both the front weld nut and the ridgid belt receiver weld nut.

anyone looking for a set of buckets I have three sets I need to sell

Try some out of a late 90's chevy malibu, only took minor mods to make them fit and they are un-godly comfortable, and they are really roomy

I have 92 4runner seats in mine with no modification. The only thing I had to do was mount the seatbelt on top of the seat mount.

I had the 60/40 seats before this. It was such a minor change though.

1G DSM seats fit really good; they also keep you at the same height as the stock bench so there is no loss of leg room. They can even use the stock bolts from the Toyota bench seat.
