well was looking at a news blurb talkin about weird car names, came across the toyopet crown, which led me to the Stout, which led me to this site looking for more information about it. i myself own a 72 Hilux, which is the second car i've ever owned. im 19, from Twin Falls, Idaho. Im actually a fan of toyota pickups/minis just because they are some of the hardiest vehicles you'll ever find (except maybe for a good ole Subaru). im looking to possibly get my hands on an old stout eventually and restoring both it and my hilux. current project on the hilux is getting the clutch to work smoothly again. bought it in the sticky condition its in and unfortunatly am pulled away from it currently because im at job corps to get the rest of the automotive training i need to get all my certifications and make a living working on cars however while im here, my father, a former full-time mechanic, is supposed to be doing the necessary work to get it back in good running condition. however, he isnt listening to the owner/driver of the vehicle about what needs to be replaced anyway, now i have a place to get all the information i need about my issue so he will acutally listen
Welcome to the forum! Sounds like some good projects! You should post up a pic of your 72 when you get a chance so we can check out what your workin with.
prolly do that soon as i can return home to take a photo and i've noticed a few of us on the forums just today alone! good to know that other idahoans actually know good cars from ****ty ones
It was just me for a while. You gonna be back in the summer? The local Freaks of Nature chapter puts on Sonic Cruise nights thru-out the summer at various Sonic locations. Let me know if you're interested.
actually not sure when im gonna be back this year unfortunatly, but that would be kind of a cool thing to be involved in
