If you cant spin it freely with the truck cool, then its bad.

Fix the problem for good by converting to an electric cooling fan!
Go to L & C Engineering, they have a nice kit for under $300.00 for
    89 to 95 models.:clapping:

It's not that uncommon for the bearings in a cooling fan to go out, Electric or mechanical, replace the fan you'll be golden:waytogo:

I've been mulling over this mod and have been leaning towards taking
the plunge and going for the $300.00 L & C Engineering package. I've
seen Hayden universal electric fans at Pep Boys for around $60.00 but
I've shied away scared of it being too "Mickey Mouse" in quality and
function. The point of my question here is has anyone here tried a cheap
universal electric fan and more importantly "how happy are YOU with it?"

Yeah the fan is pretty stiff to spin when the truck is off it moves but it's real stiff so I'm sure it's the bearings... **** that thing is noisy haha

Sounds like it is time to replace the fan clutch.
