hey gang, just wanted to share my 86 toy that i bought two months ago. everyone calls me Kim due to spending years in the military. they always call you by your last name since its the first thing they see on your uniform. I have to say that the previous owner did the clean motor work. I added a new a/c unit from ackits. It didnt have a unit from stock so I installed this aftermarket kit. a pro dist, coil, ignition kit from LC engineering. its a 22r with a 5spd it has welds on now but this is what ill try to put on. 19 inch with a 2 inch spindle drop front and 3 inch blocks rear I ditched the bench seat and installed new carpet with bucket seats, autometer tach mounted on pillar and oil, water gauges under stereo (a JVC unit with bluetooth, ipod) Sorry, its night here in Hawaii so this pic is a little dark Hope you enjoy the pics. will post after drop is installed
it was in a mustang race car and i found it on craigslist. I had to fab the back brackets to sit proper in cab. i dont know the brand, there are no markings but it feels like it belongs in a fourwheeler. it is firm!!
what are you going to do with your rims? i live hawaii and am looking for prostars thts why. but truck is solid so far super clean!
i got the power locks going in now but the window setup will be awhile. i bought the universal type by colibri and those are meant for panels that arent flat mounted like my 86. It mounts on the outside of the regulator which means i need to make a spacer between my panel and metal part of door. I think about 1/2 inch spacing will do but i haven't decided if i want to use metal or wood for the spacing. My interior is tan and brown so wood might work. Ill post pictures later to show what I'm talking about. For a easier time it might be worth whille finding a factory power set up since Toyota usually has the options built into the vehicle although its not equiped with that option. I installed the a/c into this truck and it didnt have one from the factory but it had the fuse setup with the fuse already plugged in behind the dash
I'll be selling them if the new rim setup fits after i do my drop. I'll be a couple of weeks before I know. I got another project build going on at the same time as this truck. I'm putting 3/4 ton ford axles under my jeep. I'm on the big isle, where are you located at?
if the 19's dont fit, let me know if your gonna sell them. I got some 17's and mazda rims if your interested. Shoots
