My windshield has a ton of tiny scratches. So much that when headlights hit the windshield I can barely see through. What, other than replacement, can I do to fix them?

Replacement is going to be it man.
You can try to wax your windshield. i have used meguiars and it will make it look a little better.but if you can feel them at all with your fingernail, there not going away.

When you try and buff out a scratch, you create a spot that will distort the image your seeing through it like a lens.
And if there are a lot, there is realy no way to fix them.

Been doing autoglass for 18 years now

You need a find buffing compound to remove the scratches. You can try a small area by hand and see if it helps.

To buff out glass, you need a very special ceramic powder and a special hard buffing wheel. But its only good for small rubs or blemishes.

I have used fine buffing compound and it works pretty good. Scratches are still there but not as bad as before. I also did it by hand and not with a buffing tool.

I can't really feel the scratches they are so small. Had them sence I got my truck, just lived with it, but it's getting progresively worse.

Honestly, I decided to post this after watching Trucks the other night. They buffed a windshield to remove minor scratches, and was just wondering if I could do the same.
