I am hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on something for me. I have a 1989 22r carb motor that will crank and not start. It will start if you jump a wire from the positive side of the battery to one of the wires that run between the coil and the distributor though while you crank the engine, and then remove the wire once it is running, it will die if you leave the wire there(it was like this when I bought it). I am guessing igniter, or possible the 12v feed from ignition switch judging my schematic, anyone have any other ideas?
