I am new to trucks and wanted to know if the tach and oil pressure gauge came stock on some 93's or did someone change out the cluster. I see threads about people changing out clusters to the one I have. The only reason I am asking is that my oil pressure is low and drops to almost nothing when at a light. Maybe sending unit bad or gauge not working right- no oil light comes on, if there is one. Should I use thicker oil- 20W-40?

To my current understanding only the SR5 had the metering guage all others only got the idiot light. Light should come on around 8psi (iirc) and it shouldn't be a huge amount over that at idle. My fathers gmc was at like 15 when idling and 45-60 while on the gas. Hope this helps.

Update- A guy at Autozone said to ground the wire to see if gauge works. The needle pegged out and now it is not working at all. Is there a fuse somewhere for only the oil gauge, other gauges are working fine.

Yes - only the 'higher-trim-level' PreTacos got the oil pressure gauge.

Toyota trucks' oil pressure runs notoriously low at idle. The spec minimum oil pressure triggering a 1993 warning light is only on the order of 4.3 psi.
