shouldn't be too critical. just measure what it has factory (angle finder), and when you set your tabs adjust it to match. should work ok.

Its to change caster. Nothing to do with wheels. You don't have adjustment, you can't get a perfect allignment. It's doable, but the adjustable end is 10x easier to work with.

if i made upper arms with adjustable ends that mount to the frame would fix any camber issues?

i would say no. buy spindles. if you set your truck up to have very little camber layed out, it's going to push the wheel out even further at ride height and full lift.

i wouldnt worry with arms unless your static and staying that way and then you MAY be able to work a little better geometry in with them.

I haven't made a huge amount of progress on this lately. I've been pretty busy dong other stuff. I did get the weld over the tank on the back wall of the cab done. I didn't drop the tank. I decided to live dangerously. I know a lot of guys that weld around gas tanks all the time. I just put wet rags on top of the tank and lines. It worked pretty good for the hot spatter. I also did some more welding inside the doors and on the firewall. I basically just need to tub the firewall now. The part around the bellhousing is mostly welded up.

    OK, so I tried:

I am going to grind these welds out but I think it looks decent. Thanks for the tip. I hope I got it right.:waytogo:

Thanks guys! I am pretty happy with how this part turned out.

I meant to say I am going to grind these welds down... Not grind them out... I guess you guys probably knew what I meant.

Yeah I will. I am not at home right now. I might not be able to get the pics up til tomorrow. I am going to do the welding on it to reinforce it and some more tubbing of the firewall this weekend too so I will get pics up of that after it's done.

Thanks man! Wow. All 14 pages? So I guess you saw this?:D

Wish I had some more progress to report, but this project has been going pretty slow lately. Since this thread was written, Bernie and I started another forum geared specifically towards enthusiasts who have or are performing serious body modifications. we have a chat room set up and depending on who happens to be in there you might catch a lively discussion. We are just getting started still. So far we have about 30 members, some of which are familiar from this forum/thread.:D So check us out over at www.bodydrop.org!

Here's a little progress to report. I did some patching of the floorpan. I used some thin card board (cereal box's, cuz I'm a cereal killer) since it was easy to shape with some scissors by hand but thick enough to trace with ease onto the 18 guage steel sheet for plasma cutting.

Here you can see some of the templates I used:

Next up will be a pair of mini tubs inside the firewall. Coming soon...
