you guys are missing 1 hell of a show out here. there is a 42" 84 standard cab here. good idea bit looks like sh@!. but the yotas are really dominating out here. dont miss this event.
the 86 i'm building is 42" as well. i'm gunna go to west coast nats in sept. i should be taking the hilux.
there are so many other Yotas here its not funny. hopefully by tuesday i will have a few more posted.
I just got back from the show, i'll load em up tonight online, and i also got a really good video of that 42" one draggin. I enjoyed the show, but i'll tell you what, 9 out of 10 trucks there had welds that scared me at the thought of them being on the road
most of the trucks there were, especially everyone with that guy. One guy did a notch with 1x2 tubing and was running a Semi bag with the same tubing. His welds would have been beter off being bubble gum. I'm not usually one for talking sh!t like this, but some of these guys shouldn't be allowed near a truck. It gives the scene a bad name, and they're gonna get someone hurt the way their trucks are built
thats how it is at a lot of shows..... unfortunately there is no license required to build a truck. when i wanted to take the bag brackets off the axle of my 86 i tapped them with a claw hammer and they fell right off. the guys that built it didn't know what they were doing.
yea its crazy. Its no wonder most car guys give no respect to minitrucks, i can't blame em with guys doing work like that
i saw very few truley CLEAN rides there. and i will have to agree, the 42"er was nothing but a hack job to win the lowest of the lows. and the guy driving it was big enough to definitly max out the weight limit of his welds. and i would definitly have to agree with the bubble gum looking welds.
