Any one purchase and install the LC stage 3 Top end Package. I just received mine in the mail yesterday and will start to install it this weekend. Any information you all want to share with me about this before I start the project. The motor has 209,000 miles in it but I just replaced the timing chain and water pump. I just replaced the connecting rod bearings. I am about to put in a centerforce II clutch, Holley Electric Fuel pump and Black Magic electric fan. I would like to know if I should do anything else while I have the head off. What kind of power do you all think I should see. I am also putting in a 2 1/4 piping with a high flow cat.Hit me up with any comments. Thanks

If you got that far, you might as well put new piston rings in and have the cylinders honed...

ive heard a new head will hold pressure better then a old block, so you'll start to get more blow by on the rings.

........ same senario i was faced with.

it could have "been fine" with a basic head job and HG replacement but i was that far in........... i just whent all the way in and tore it all down. honestly, its not that much more work to do if you are in that far, plus it makes it easier to access and replace the clutch and flywheel......... since you are going for the most bang...... and are replacing the clutch anyways i would also be doing a lightened flywheel like i am...... i figured i was this far in.... i wasnt gonna stick the stock one back in..... then again, i thus far have 1500 into the build with all the goodies ive got :doah:

It's not much more work...unless you forget to have the timing cover decked with the block and have to disassemble the bottom end again...LOL!
