    Help help help

Anyway, my friend jumped on my hood last night.... well kinda rolled onto my truck is what he really did. So it was dark and i didn't see the damage. So i washed my truck this morning and found this nice 2-2.5" dent on the "curve cowl" of my hood.

So my battery just died on me.. no pics... til tonight. But the dent is on the curved portion of the hood.

So what methods do you use to fix this dent? it's gunna bother me like no other.

Any thoughts on the hairdryer, hot day outside, and upsidedown air duster CO2 method?

I've used a suction cup to pull dents out. They're available at Autozone in the paint section. Put the suction cup over the dent, lock it and pull straight away from the dent with even pressure. If that doesn't work, try to pop it out with the palm of your hand and a few firm taps to the underside of the dent. Don't use anything with hard edges, it will crack the paint.

I'm sorry i posted in the 88's section.
I'll try all of the different techniques.
This dent is exactly above the "hood skeleton" on the inside.

To further describe the dent, i'm not sure how you classify a creased dent, but its nothing like a V dent.

i mean it doesn't have a sharp edge to it. kinda smooth but dented... if there is a crease in it the paint will probably let loose when you pop it.

yea i had a creased dent in my side of my bed by the gas tank area, majority of the dent popped out but its still kinda rough, needless to say, it needs body work.
but from the sounds of urs, itss just pop out, grab a mallot, DONT HAMMER iIT OUT, but push it out wiht the mallot in the center of the dent

Ah, alright, then i think i should be safe... I want to pop it out ASAP so the metal doesn't "retain" that shape.

heat the area with a heat gun

once its good n hot take a can of compressed air (computer type) flip it upside down, shake it and spray the hot dent with the can upside down. you'll get some liquid O2 coming out to flash freeze the metal.

dent with no crease will pop right out, no banging needed.

You should make your freind worry abotut it and fix it, and if he messes it up you should punch him in the face! No JK, a propane torch will work, heat from the bottom, and if it doesn't pop tap it lightly with a plastic hammer.:waytogo:
