What are some different ways of puting your gas tank if you shave the door on the exterior body. I'm planing in doing this but need some options of doing it, something thats easy to pump gas but its not visible or in the way of stuff.

My bro-in-law keeps telling me to put mine on the inner fender well in the bed.

I've seen one on custom built plate at the front corner even with the bed rails.

^ he fills it up through the rear.

If you watch him, he will thrust her as he fills her up. ;)

hm thats some nice options of doing it, what about keeping the tank same location but putting the hose in a sweet invisible location, yet easy to fill up. If i don't find any place, i might just shave the key entry, that makes it less noticable.

i set my s-10 up so the tank stays in the stock location. i raised it over an inch, then used some steel tubing the same size as the original filler neck with roughly a 70* bend. it comes up right inside the bed near the front left corner. i just have to watch that i don't cover it.

i like the idea of puting in the bed but just don't like the idea if it over spills gas gonna be all over the bed, so then you gotta wash it off.

the way i'm setting up the s-10, the filler is below the level of the bed floor. and it will use the stock gas door to conceal it.

Do it clean & just get a tank made, steel or stainless, the ladder is the best way to go!If not in Cali. you can use a fuel cell, if that route just use the best you can.Your fuel tank is not the place to cut corners ! Put it where you can get the suspension can be done correctly! One time done right, looks best,& is not 1/2 assed!!

but hey, couldn't you just shave off the gas door and place that piece underneath the bed, same place, without too much hassle..?
