    Hello All -

When I was younger I had a couple different pickups. I'd always wanted to get back into one, and after selling my most recent VW project I decided to pick one up! The plan is to button up a few things (gas tank, some interior stuff, etc.) and then bag it! From reading, I think it'll make the most sense to swap the front suspension to 1984+ stuff and then order control arms, brackets, etc. The truck is super clean and is 100% original. I'm going to keep the "work truck" look I think but might add some nice wheels for a bit of contrast.

Here's what my VW looked like before I sold it:

Very nice truck, big fan of that blue stripe that runs along the side :D reminds me of a guy on another forum that had a similar stripe but in pink on his van

Started a deep clean/update of the interior today. I pulled the original vinyl floor and decided to remove the tar board and replace it with more modern sound deadening. Takes a bit of time but I think it’ll be well worth it.

The floor in this truck is in AMAZING shape so far. All I found was a small spot of surface rust near the driver door, but other than that I haven’t seen a spec of rust.

I also ordered some replacement carpet from Rockauto. Hopefully it’ll be here when I get off work in a few days and I can get it installed. I stuck with the blue like the vinyl was to keep the OEM/80s vibe of the interior.
