Hey folks I have a 90 pickup im looking to get some 17x9 with a 20 or 25mm offset. Will I need spacers and or have to roll the fenders? thanks shem
Fender rub will be determined by what tire you use.. with that much offset you're pushing the wheel into the well as opposed to having 'poke' issues. Id roll them regardless. Spacers will be needed if you can clear the brakes but those are small for a 17" wheel anyways.. just make sure the wheels are hubcentric if not, those are what you will really need.
Thanks for the reply! The ad doesnt day if theyre hubcentric, just says 70.6 hub bore. These are the wheels https://www.ebay.com/itm/2962938597...-a2b1-262093bc5f7e|iid:1|vlpname:vlp_homepage They would look bad ass on the truck, I know 225 would stretch and looks funny on a 9". Maybe not if I slammed it but its a work truck so cant go too low. Dont wanna go wider than 8" but those wheels I love. Wanna keep the 225 or close for mpg reasons, maybe 245 tops. shem
Yea you will need hubcentric rings. Your truck is either 60.1 or 67.1 mm on the hub OD. Those wheels are 70. If you don't get the rings, it'll be like driving on square stone wheels!! Haha those wheels are sick!! 225 won't have any stretch unless it's 225/40 or shorter..(225/35-225/30). If you go taller like 225/55+ then you're looking at all terrain tires opposed to street tires. Play around with willytheyfit.com and find the spec you want for your truck.
Finally found some wheels! old skool kosei senecas 17x7/8, had to get 2" spacer adapters but truck looks sick! shem
