    Hi all,

I'm about to start sanding down and prepping my engine bay for a fresh coat of paint. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on any particular paint best for this area.

As long as its gloss you'll be fine. No need for high temp or any other shit.

i sprayed mine with dollar cans from home depot. Prep was wiping it down with a degreaser, and its been holding up fine for 3-4 years now

Honestly, I've always used rustoleum primer/base coat.. the sand able primer is is ok, easy to correct and works! This time around I'm using VHT. I'll also be using their high heat enamel for the engine. Jetas is right no need for high heat paint on the bay, unless you got a turbo Mani/down pipe close by.. then I'd hit the fire wall. Just my 2 cent.
