Hello everyone new guy here i bought a 74 Hilux yesterday it has the 18r 4 speed transmission was in the bed when I see so be missing a slave cylinder anyway I was wanting to swap everything with a 22r 5 speed I have and wondered what all needed to make it fit haven’t got the time to really look over it yet was wondering about oil pan mostly I can figure the rest out

 

22R will fit, mid sump oil pan will be needed. Trans mount and shifter opening may need some work but its all very doable. check my build thread. I did the same on my 72

 

So I could do an Re as well if I go my harness a fuse box ect.

 

So a 2wd oil pan will work or is it a custom one

 

Its a factory toyota pan. Was on a 20R that was in my truck when i got it then swapped to the 22R
