Finally picked up the solenoid. Now trying to make sure I get the wiring right, I’m still a little unclear.

    Here are my 3 questions:

    Connect the starter to #2?

Connect both battery terminals to #1?

What’s connect to “the switch” ?

    thanks in advance!

Not sure which is 1,2 or 3 but i have mine like this (with the smaller studs at the bottom)

-Big left stud-- B+(Large gauge wire)
-Small left stud--starter trigger from ign switch
-Big right stud--to starter positive post(large gauge wire). And then a 10awg jumper from the starter+ To the small trigger connection on the starter.

    hope this makes sense

Is this (black wire with white) the starter trigger from the ignition switch?

More than likely yes. Turn the key and check for voltage. Should only have + when in the "Start" position

So literally have been trying to get to this, but parenting has taken precedent… finally wired it up today and still getting just a click when I try to start. Battery is new as of 10/22.

The photo has 2 wires on the left stud?

Full disclosure, in the two years I’ve owned the solenoid (master pro 2SS5) that I just put on, I’ve dropped it on the ground and then also I cracked it over tightening small left stud. Not sure if that may have done something. :verdict_in:

    Anyone's help is very appreciated

I would check battery voltage at this point if it sat for 2 yrs and no charge. Dropping it may have dislodged a contact point but highly unlike since these parts are designed for vibration. Recheck that your feeding voltage to the starter solenoid, and it's tight. Are you missing any grounds?
