Just about done trying to figure out the issue with the stock temp gauge. When I ground the sensor the gauge moves, but when it's plugged back in, nothing. I've even replaced it with a new sending unit and no change.

So I was considering just running an aftermarket water temp gauge. Maybe just add the adapter that installs inline in the radiator hose, and get something like an autometer.

Anyone running an aftermarket gauge setup like this?

Had an autometer and currently my speedhut gauge hooked up right by the thermostat housing. One adapter and it threads right in

OP put a cheapie tri-gauge cluster on mine and has water temp. Seems to work fine but someday I'd love to get rid of them and have those SpeedHut gauges like jetas and a few others have upgraded to

I have a VDO gauge, and was able to get a VDO temp sender that had the right threads for a 22re intake.

Speedhut makes some good looking gauges. Where did you mount your gauge?

I was considering a VDO gauge since I'm trying to not spend a bunch of money on this fix. Any issues with yours? I'm not familiar with how reliable these gauges are.

    OMG that is F#$%ing sick.

Mind me asking how much this setup cost? Do all the gauges work? I'd love to at least have that setup on the left.

Damn, that is the coolest mod I've seen on these trucks.

I cant take all the credit, another member here did it and i borrowed the idea. And i actually got the quad gauge during a sale they were having but i want to say theres about $600 of speedhut in that bezel. And yes everything works. Well worth the investment

That's not too bad. I don't have the budget for something like that at the moment. Definitely something I would love to do in the future.

I purchased the speedo and quad gauge about a year apart. Had to wait for the sale and tax money haha
