Hi friends, I have finished up building my new engine, and plan to drop it in the truck next wednesday. I have never done this before, I didn't even use a lift to get the block out of the engine bay. I was just wondering if y'all had any advice/tips/tricks.
I do have an automatic transmission, so I have a few questions like whether it would be best to install the torque converter onto the transmission, then drop the engine in or attach it to the engine, and drop that all in as a whole unit.

    Any help is much appreciated!

I put the engine and trans in seperate only because it was a pain in the ass getting it all out as a unit, i didnt wana struggle putting it back.

On the newer truck tou may have more space to drop it in together

When pulling an engine, I prefer to pull engine and trans separately. It's easy enough to pull off trans from under the vehicle. But when installing, I prefer to install engine and trans as a unit. Installing a trans from under a vehicle is a royal PITA.
