So after running Airlifts first gen Auto Pilot for 10 years I decided to upgrade to there 3H which is now there newest system. A call to a long time friend & one of by two build advisers ( was by contact at FBI),got an order placed & yesterday a trip up to his shop in Sacramento got the parts in my hands. A bonus was I found a new brewery right on his street, Glory. Great beer.
So the into the next winter project I will dive! 1 (1).jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg

Time for the winter work to begin! looks like some fun ahead of you.

Were you having any issues with the old first gen system, or just time to modernize?

The old system works fine, the ECU was replaced once & a few of the sensors, of which I have an extra one .
The presser sensors are effected by air temp & humility, so someones sits wrong, I had installed a bubble float into the front part of the console & back lite it so could correct that problem. That system was around $800 & the 8 3/8 Asco nickle plated valves were $520, would like to sell all for $400 & there is a extra valve & parts, & din connectors. All working just fine.

Well got all the soft lines ,two hard line, valves & all the wiring removed.
Retied (zip ties) the wiring that stays , & will cut off the front valve bracketing today, & run the new wiring. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg

Today got the soft lines pulled to the rear, & made a mock mounting plate for the manifold.
Had to change the way it mounts, angled is what I wanted, but to tight of a radius for the air lines. Going from 4 feeds to 4 manifolds, to 2 feeds to a tee to the manifold single feed. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg
The mock up is 20 ga steel, the plate will be 18 0r 19 polished stainless

Running the lines will be much cleaner with this manifold.

Can you run 2 feeds directly into the manifold?

Only one inlet feed, manifold has 5 feeds, LF/RF/LR/RR/T/E, but will use a tee from the 2 hard ines from the tanks.
This manifold does make for less connections than running 4 manifolds.

Got all the fame & suspension parts repainted in gloss black & the manifold mount finalized.
stuck the front part of the console in place to test the final fit of the controller & took truck out for a test drive with just the pressure sensors in play. Works great, stays very level @ all heights.
Have to replace a ground distribution block,( brunt connection @ one of the connectors), & reset all & test drive once more ,than pull all 4 wheels & set up the height sensors.
Repaint the console & repaint the right rear corner , backed into my rose tree!! IMG_20190103_144401.jpg IMG_20190103_144426.jpg IMG_20190103_144056.jpg
If time before the first show will pull the headliner & redo to match the door panels .

So started the install of the height sensors, made a tool to get accurate measures of travel & to locate the mounting tabs. Working at rear first. This is a pain in the ass, slow going to get in the range needed! 25.jpg 26.jpg 27.jpg 29.jpg 31.jpg

Today got the rear done, figured out that the range of travel was to tight so moved the sensor future rearward. That put the arm into the green ! Now on to the front.

So finished the height sensor install at the front, still have to run the wires & calibrate & test drive. While working up there found one air bag with a bad wear mark so both will be replaced & trim the metail that cased the problem. 34.jpg 35.jpg 36.jpg
