Valve cover exhaust?

    i can’t find the part name in the chiltons book, but there is a rubber hose coming off of the valve cover that I believe is supposed to be hooked back into the carb.

    The previous owner has it just pointing up. (See photo) There seems to be smoke coming out of it sometimes and I’m wonder what that would mean. It does seem to be emitting some nasty mess on underside of the hood.

    Sounds like its supposed to be the PCV valve and hose

    What motor is that? Maybe the lighting is bad but it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen
