Just recently bought a 89 pickup.. my coolant temp gauge isn't working so I went to check my sensor. I found this plug taped up with the rest of wires but it wasn't plugged into anything. Can anyone tell me what it is and where it goes? Also found another plug on the top of the valve cover not plugged into anything. I thought it might plug into the one on the top of the valve cover but it doesn't. Anyone know? Posted pictures of both issues.

THE FIRST ONE LOOKS LIKE IT MATES WITH THE RED COLORED ONE IN THE SAME PHOTO.
I 'D LOOK AROUND THE AREA WHERE THE THE OTHER PLUG IS FOR A MATING PLUG, IN THE RANGE OF THE LENGTH OF THE WIRE.

I've seen the first one before, not sure what it is. It's unplugged on my 92 and on my Brother-in-Law's 93.

The single wire is for the clutch on the nonexistent A/C compressor and the double wire is for an emissions piece that you do not have. Not all rigs were CA emissions, some were federal so they had less bs.
