Well, I was off from work(& BORED)...so I decided to take a little road trip. I took a drive to Lake Isabella which is 2 hours north from where I live. Filled up my tank, turned off my radio, rolled down both windows, and just drove! I gotta say...there's nothing like driving my yota on a sunny day going bout 85mph on the highway! It was just awesome! I know it's nothing spectacular...just thought I'd share that with y'all. I just feel life's too short not to appreciate the little things :waytogo:

here's my 94 'yota at the lake

This past weekend, i went on a drive with some of the guys from Custom Tacos here in San Diego. We drove up to Escondido and then out east to Palomar Mountain and then out to Santa Isabel for some pie, and then back home through Lakeside and Interstate 8. IT WAS AWESOME! Driving through the mountains in the rain with 6 other trucks was definitely a highlight to my weekend! I forgot my camera so I hope one of the guys will post something. :waytogo:

That's a nice shot! You photoshopped it to look like some kind of antique picture though, right? Either way, it works. I'd take a picture of mine by Lake Elsinore, but why poison a picture of a Toyota with a nasty, green, algea infested lake. Eventually when mine doesn't look so much like a beater, I'll do some kind of shot like that at Harveston Lake in Temecula or maybe on the dirt lot next to the Outlets.

    Again, great shots!

Thanks 88...well you can use Lake Elsinor & just make it black & white that way you wont be able to tell the water's green!

Maybe another time:lol:, but I used to work in La Mirada with my dad when we did electrical. Last time we were out there was two years ago... then we just quit because we were not getting paid until months after our jobs were done. I miss that job... my current one sucks a$$.

I'm working less than part-time, so it's hard for me to even pay for gas. Been looking adamantly for a new job for over a year and a half. Even though I didn't want Obama, I hope he at least attempts to fix this economy, but it will take a while... unfortunately. But like everything else, including my truck, things have to get worse before they get better.

Okay... I'll admit, I get just double that a week, but two hour shifts every time I go in. Getting to the point where I'd rather walk to work, using all of my gas for almost nothing.

I'm actually ashamed of where I work... But I can tell you it's not that far from where I live and that no one would expect a guy like me to work there. Trying to get into Wal Mart, even if it may be temporary, I've got to get out of there. Whenever I get out, I'll let all you guys know, a right of passage; leaving it behind.
