Since I'm having a really hard time locating a bench seat nearby, I've been thinking of going to minivan middle row bucket seats that use the center jump seat.

Can one of you guys that owns a stock bench snag some measurement for me? I need total width. Height from floor to seat bottom where you would sit you butt.

I'm thinking of something like this

You need width of seat, cushion to cushion. Or width of mounting brackets?

Cushion to cushion. I'm not sure they wouldn't interfere with the doors.

Just measure from door to door and see what you can fit in there

I can do that too, was hoping someone had a stock bench so I can get measurements off that since I like where they sit height wise also.

I have a 93 xtra cab with a 60/40 bench , mine is about 49 1/2" wide (cushion to cushion) and about 10" tall (from carpet to front of seat). Of course the seat slops down a little toward the back.

Awesome, that gives me a pretty good idea. Thanks.

I even hit the junkyard for a minute today and found a blue bench that's in a pickup that belongs to the service lady's nephew. Not for sale of course, but I could have measured that one if I had been using my brain at all.

I told her I'd be interested in trading her nephew my buckets for his bench and she actually took some pictures of my buckets for him, but I don't look for it to happen.

It was too wet to go looking for any minivan seats today, hopefully I can try that soon.

All the jump seat combos I've seen are at least 56" wide and just won't work even with a bit of fab work.

I did finally find a super nice bench though for $50.

I have a middle or rear bench seat from a mini-van waiting to go into my truck as well. I'm going to end up having to take off the outter folding arm rests and trim the bottom outter bolster a bit for it to fit. Then of course make up some seat brackets and make up a story about how the seat came from something other than a mini van.

Hahaha, just keep an eye on Craigslist for a parts truck and snag a bench from one when you find it.

I found one from a 94 that was being parted and it was near perfect with one very small tear. I sprayed it black and slapped it in, couldn't be happier.

Thanks. I used Duplicolor gloss black rattle bomb for vinyl. I'm pretty impressed with the outcome so far. No paint lifting, works great.

I've used that same spray on old vinyl arm rests, and it works pretty great for a spray on color. The arm rest i have on my drivers side was sprayed black 8 momths ago or so, and with all the wear and tear i put on my truck, so far there is only one small corner that has flaked off. To say it works pretty great is to say thay it has held up way better than I expected, I just don't expect much out of a rattle can. So be weary of a high traffic zone, like the driver's seat.
