Sup guys. I just scored some 4runner bucket seats, for my pickup. Will they be a direct fit? Seats are from 2gen 4runner goin into my 89 single cab Thanks
It really depends on the year. If they don't line up correctly, you can always make a custom adapter with some brackets(just make sure everything is nice and safe). That is what I did with my father on his 78 Trans Am, and I am doing the same on my 73 Hilux with Bucket Seats out of a 96 Celica
Nice score! I found my 95 4-runner bucket seats were a perfect fit in my '93 single cab. the seat brackets lined up with the seat rail in the cab. i did have to get an extra set of 10.9 hardened bolts to mount them. there was also a hole already cut in the front rail, next to the transmission tunnel, from factory, so i didn't need to do any drilling. I did need to back it with a nut, which i superglued in place to hold it, then mounted the seats, and when i threaded the bolts, the tension took over. Keep in mind that while i used metric bolts to mount three of the posts of the seat, i used the seatbelt mounting point for the last, and some people here say that it's an SAE bolt, due to needing to be DOT certified, but i'm not entirely sure. just keep it in mind. use the same bolt that mounted the in conclusion, this was one of the better upgrades i've done to my truck as it's forced me to pull the carpet out and clean it all up! and the seats are very comfortable!
Koo..thanks guys. Hope they just fit without having to do anything. But yup got these for 60 bucks was gonna get the center console from the guy but it was all buss up
Get measurements of the bolt holes on the seats and the truck and go back and forth before pulling them out
thanks. my asian is showing. they were comfortable on the bench seat, but not on the buckets, so i don't rock them anymore.
How's the center look between the seats ? Does it Look like "it ain't suppose to look like that", look? I'm thinking to do the buckets in place of the 60/40 but I'm really worried of what the middle going look like.
