Hi all after many years, my grandparents estate in Southern Oregon is being settled. This 1966 Stout with a flat dump bed was parked in the shed and probably ran some time in 1999. It's a classic barn find and I just don't have the time or location (I'm in New Mexico) to even attempt a restoration.
I would hate to see this go to a dismantler but that's likely if we can't find a buyer.
It was used by my grandfather as a work truck for as long as I can remember (early 70's). It's hauled a lot of firewook. I doubt he bought it new but it probably wasn't too old when he got it.
Sorry. These are the best pictures I have of it about 5 years ago. The tags on the plate show it was last registered in 2000 and we do have the title.

Any advice on what to do with it? Where to post for interested parties?

    Awesome Stout!
Knowing the history I'm surprised you don't want to keep that truck around. Ship it to your place and keep it in the south where it'll stay rust free.
You should have zero problems selling the truck on like CL. Looks in pretty good condition too. Wonder what it looks like 5years more present, lol.
I dunno about others here but he only truck I'd trade mine for would be a Stout.
    Good luck!

Who is doing the ground work in Oregon? (who would be showing the truck and handling cash for you?)

Selling it shouldn't be a problem....Doing it from New Mexico would take some creativity, lol.

There are good guys on here that would (if they don't buy it) help it get into good hands, I'M SURE!

Non-issue....You posted in the right place.

I have family there that would handle the business end. I'm just glad I found a good site for reference. Once the title is located, I'll move this to the for sale section hopefully with some better pictures including interior and under the hood.

What part of southern oregon? I have family down there. Keep us posted on when it goes up for sale and how much you think you'll want for it. I might know a couple of people that would be interested in keeping it as a treasure and not hawking it off to the highest bidder.

Thing is in pretty rough shape. I don't believe the dump body is factory original.
Someone with "deep pockets" may be interested in restoration, but not likely.
    Good luck with your sale.

With so few of these around or popping up for sale I'd assume you'll have zero trouble finding a buyer interested in what is leftover. My guess is you could get at least $1k for just the cab on rolling chassis if not more. The glass is intact AND it's been stored under a cover.
