I took the filter off of my carb the other night and noticed the choke wasn't fully opened. The engine was at full operating temp and was running at idle. Is this normal or should/can it be adjusted? I can push them opened but they snap back to this point. Pic included. I checked the next day, and if you set the choke they close all the way like they should but don't ever open any further than this.

Was this a stock carberated 22r? Also it seems in the pic that the choke electrical circuit isnt hooked up?

Check if theres power to the choke and if the choke is getting warm.

Otherwise yes there is an adjustment. Loosen the 3 screws holding the retaining ring around the choke and you can turn it. Small movement gives you alot of movement on the butterfly

On my Weber 32/36 carb, I have a wire attached to the screw that's on the white cap on your picture.

Check if they open when you use the throttle.
