Hello folks...I figured I'd join this forum since I recently purchased a beautiful '76 RN23 a few weeks back. I've always loved these trucks, and by luck, a west coast beauty fell into my lap. No plans to do anything other than keep her going (who am I to mess with something thats been around so long in such beautiful original condition) Anyway, happy to join you guys!

Thanks twizted1! I couldn't believe when I found her just a couple of towns over....these never survive in CT. Which goes without saying... that she won't see any roads till all the salt is swept up!

Looks really good. Clean up and respray the steel wheels. Youll have that truck looking proper

Here are some more pictures I found on the the internet when she was for sale in Oregon last April. You can already see some deterioration in just that small amount of time of being in CT. I have her garaged now but the person I bought her from didn't....sooo I'll have to get on top of all that!

Thanks! Yeah, I'll be doing the wheels soon. Think I should do any protective undercoating? I am concerned that while there are no rust holes there is some surface rust

Alot of people use POR-15 for undrcoating and rust prevention. Could look into that
