Whats up guys?! Been forever. Recently picked up a Cherry 93. some of you may know me from my 79 and 83 first gen..... Plans for the truck are: -Sway Bars -DJM LCA -Drop leafs -SR5 cluster Swap -Audio Setup -5vz Swap or 22reperformance 22re(undecided) -Visual Mods -Nice 17" enkeis wrappped in some meat Truck is awesome, I love it and have matured enough to know to keep this one. Feels good to be back. Just trying to make a nice daily that handles better than any of my other trucks ive slammed out. Opinions on the truck are greatly appreciated.....
looks better in person i suggest you get a hold of those 1 ton sway bars those make a whole big difference
Sway bars for sure, I ran spindles for a while but their ackerman angle was crap for racing so I pulled them off. They were fine on the street though. I'm now going to drop arms, should be the best of both worlds. I wouldn't waste the time with drop leafs, just grab some 4x4 springs and trim the shackle down to 2 3/4" centers on the bolts and get the same effect for pennies. Welcome back, as much as I highly prefer the look of all pre 84 body styles the ease of modification and availability of hop up parts makes up for the ugly body style.
Whats up guys, little update here. And when I say little I mean LITTLE. Saving up as much as possible to transfer to a Cal State next semester. Picked up a set of 1ton sway bars and bushing kit, was about to install then was able to trade with some cash for a paint matched shell for that OG look that I love. So trucks sitting pretty with a shell. Other than than, oil change and a nice wax n the trucks been doing great. Still have ambitious plans, just might not happen as soon as I hoped. I still have the truck after 3 months which is actually a good amount for me. Loving it!
Id say probably around a 4" drop give or take, had it lower but this is the perfect height right now to combat viscous speed bumps at my current employer. I pretty much never scrape. Thanks for the love!
Update.... Got the SR-5 cluster in not to say without hiccups. Found out the previous owner killed the dash into a million pieces and glued it back together. So pulling the dash and piecing it back together was much more daunting then it should have been. My truck was not wired for a tach. I ran a tach wire from the cluster to the ignition coil. If anyone needs help with this step let me know! Along with those complications, I picked up a 4cyl cluster, but it had been remanufactured with a 6cyl tach, meaning my rpms were way off. This is corrected with a voltage meter and some patience. If you have any question on this part let me know! Dont forget to swap out the base oil pressure sensor for the sr5 pressure sensor located on the block under the filter. If you dont, the oil pressure gauge will pin and slowly fall to its death, never to work again. Threw in some leds and lightened up the interior at the same timem let me kmow what you think!
lights in the dash look sweet....man o man i wish i could find a set of crown vic meshies!! loving the setup on your truck!!
Sold the Crown Victoria's and picked up some 16x8 squared Starions.... Digging the look. Still have a lot on my mind for this truck just no $$$$ like most of us on here.
