I just got my belltech lowering kit today and tomorrow I'm planning to put it one. So I'm doing spindles on the front so do I have to do the ball joint flip because i read that if it doesn't fit correctly you have to grind some of it odd. Not sure about this. Let me know Please and Thank you!

You don't have to do the ball joint flip to get the spindles to fit. But on my 85 I did have to grind away a little bit of the back of the spindle to get the ball joint to fit back in. Mine are flipped though. It was very minimal grinding.

I know this might sound like a stupid question, but it doesn't affect the ride if I don't do the ball joint flip?

Sorry for the delayed response, been up to my elbows in under hood fun. I didn't notice much of a ride difference when I did mine. Of course I rebuilt my dead suspension and added the DJM lower control arms and new monomax shocks when I flipped mine. So hard to say, but I didn't feel any ill effects from it.

Also flipped both of mine, the bottom and top one. Figured it would keep the distance between them similar.

You should search the writeup for lower ball joint flip with spacers, and re-index torsion bars by SDYOTA, i think it in the how to part....you can do both and kinda line up what height you want your truck at ... I doubt the lower ball joint flip gives an inch...i have drop spindles with lower ball joint flipped with washers as spacers and re indexed torsion bars...im on 18's with a 35 series tire and i rub on dips...had to cut my bump stops in half and all fender bolts cause the tire hits them on dips as well

Hey man! Sorry for the late response, but I don't think that there will be a significant drop if you flip the ball joints or not. I did the kit on mine three weeks ago without it and it looks fine.

Did you do top and bottom? It should give just roughly an inch of drop.
