this is not a recent build i have been working on this over time and i have come to an end so i am just putting this together now plus this was when i was still in high school senior year i bought this truck plus a tacoma from selling my last truck which i have pics of on my other build but this is truck is a restoration so stay tuned i will be updating as time goes on and not just throwing everything at once right now i am one n half years into college so yes this took me some time I'm still in living in Hawaii I'm born and raised from Guam HAFAADAI to all the chamorros on here and to all the followers Hafaadai to you too hafaadai means hello in chamorro but on with the build my plans are big for this truck so stay tuned remember this was in 2014 right now 2015 but not fully complete thanks
The tear down the next day we swapped the tacoma stocks with the 87 and tried to get safety for it and they turned us down because we need recon here in Hawaii the dumbest thing ever
pulled motor finds out theres a spun bearing time to rebuild got a another engine while i am rebuilding the engine that just came out so the truck isn't sitting
litneon pics will be up i just putting them in order wouldn't be long till i get the pics up tacobo670 this is my first ever build i took to the next level all by myself and with some help from my friend
The adjustable will help. Look in to getting one. Can fine the tune cam. I wish I didn't buy the stage 3. I thought it was bigger. They changed the specs from when I bought it and now. It's the exact same grind but the numbers were wrong.
i look into that and when i bought the cam it said it was 292 with 475 lift then i looked up their specs now shows 280 but my specs on the cam still bigger than the stage 3 they have now on the paper when i got the cam it says the duration at 50 is 255 and the one on lc has listed now is smaller but i might go bigger later on when i build a cherry bottom end running a stock bottom end but the set up i have now can move just haven't really opened it up just been breaking it in a little bit.
Sorry guys just got back to school so wasn't really posting but this is the finish project I'll still post the progress from where I left off but I know all you guys want to see the finish product
Sweet truck man. I am in the process of tearing my truck (high school also and 1st vehicle) down. This will defiantly help motivate me to get it done, maybe not as fast as I want but get it done none the less.
good luck I'm out of high school already I'm in college now but keep your build going don't give up it may take long but the finish product is a relief. this build i did was my first time doing a lot i learned how to body work and paint from this truck and this was my first time spraying a truck so I'm glad i took the challenge and plus only i touched my truck so i know where every little thing is on the truck.
