the round bar on the bottom of the frame under the carriage I'm guessing its for farm supper but i unbolted it and it was super light and could see how that could help much . is it important and u ad a bar somewhere else or can i just take it off so i don't gotta worry bout hitting rocks on the road with it lol????????? plz help me... also what is it called ha?????
That's good to know. Mine is still on, use it as a measuring stick. If I'm scraping it I know to stop before I rip something important off.
I Thought about fabing one to tuck up closer and mount it to the inside of the frame. When I finish mine I'll post pictures. I'm sure I'm not the first to make one.
Here's the thing... Since I removed it and installed my big brakes (years and years ago), when hard braking, it will on occasion get a strange stuttering vibration. When I let off the brakes, it goes away. I've replaced and checked all the ball joints, bushings, and steering linkages over that time thinking that there was something worn out. But the more I think about it, I am starting to think that by removing that bar and the frame stiffness it provides right behind the front suspension, it may be allowing the frame to flex under certain instances. That flex will store energy until it can be released, starting the cycle again. I'm currently fabricating a low profile version now and will give you updates.
