    been putting time and money into the runner lately. i'd like to drive it in about a month.

    made fuel tank mounts

    mounted mount and tanks and started framing the raised floor

    belltech drop spindles

    my wife removing the stock spindles

    and it finally lays full frame after the spindles and a 1.5" frame Z

    Lays down nice.Dang you even got the wifey wrenching on it.Thats love. When my wife helps me I usually end up yelling at her out of frustration but I'm workin on that.

    added to the floor tube work

    and got the door fit and hinged

    built some control arms. i'm getting em powder coated orange soda metallic tomorrow.

    shaved the one hole that was in the roof

    and added a s10 fuel door to the drivers quarter panel

    not really. made a couple compressor mounts, but thats about it. been busy on the hilux.

    I now own this little bastard thanks to a deal made with Bernie. I have been buying a bunch of parts and getting things ready to make it my own. Got it running again and fixed up some of the wiring. I will be posting as I go!

    Well run out there and take a pic of the upper control arms and how they are secured to the frame....im building a set as well and need to see this!

    Just looked at a set of Michigan metal works and they use the factory mounting plate on the frame. Only difference is they use like a Dakota ball joint and you have to have your spindles bored a bit to fit the ball joint in.

    So to re use the factory cross bar, what will I have to buy as inserts for where the bushings go?

    They had a made setup like factory does. I guess if you really wanted to and got the measurements correct you could just use some 4 link tabs mounted to the frame. I wish I would have taken a picture. Let me scour through my photos and I'll see if I have one clear enough to see the uppers.

    hey jeff glad you are keeping the thread alive.

    the control arms mount to the factory bracket using the stock crossshafts.
