I think a lot of it is the built not bought thing, we build it and enjoy it a little then get tired and move on to the next one..
hey peeps. i'm alive and well i sold the hilux to a good friend of mine at the end of june 14. it's still getting worked on and still bringing home trophies. the grille has been finished and the bumper has been mounted finally. also the super loud exhaust has been replaced by a much quieter but still throaty system. also sold the 4runner to the same friend several months after he bought the hilux. now his son is working on it and just got it running last week. the chop top 86 project was cut up and scrapped, although i still have the bedsides, and i kept the front suspension for a later project. i wanted to step back and focus on family since my kids got to the age where they can do a lot more stuff. They're all into riding dirt bikes including my 4 year old daughter so weekends are spent at the track instead of fabbing in the garage, and keeping up on the maintenance for the bikes seems to take up the week lol. at the same time i had like 1k people on facebook mostly from truck stuff and 90% i had never met. it was a chore trying to check important stuff so i gave it a sweep. i still have my 91 ex. cab, and a 2013 camry but they're all stock and boring so no reason to post about them.
Damn well at least you know the hilux is in good hands. Checking out your huild thread at the time made me want to pick up a 2nd gen. You should come on here more often, your input was always valuable
Damn it wish the chop top didn't get scrapped woulda loved to have that. Glad your doing good man. Any plans for a future build
only future build i have planned right now is my 38 slantback ford. the friend i sold the hilux to traded it to another friend. it's now living in the pacific northwest north of seattle. he seems to be keeping tight lips about it though. but he has built some amazing vehicles, so i'm super excited to see what he does with it.
Hey Bernie, I know you got rid of all the toys, but do you have the specs/measurements/parts list left over from the rear disc conversion?
