Welcome. There are a few 2jz swaps here. The 7mgt seams to be more popular. I'm sure you'll find what your lookin for here. Good luck. And post some pics of your ride.:waytogo:

You might be better off looking on a 4x4 site as I know it seams to be a popular swap for offroad.. should atleast give you some info on what has to be done for wiring\mounts, but might be a little different for the underside since 2wd has less clearance

Hah. Who needs clearance? Oil pan is made out of metal, it will be fine. It's not like it's important lol. But the swaps can be done.:waytogo:

Check out the marlin crawler forum (4x4)...I know they have a dedicated thread for the 3rz swap. They are good guys over there. I even had Marlin himself come out to my house and work on my truck! For free! He was that curious about the problem I was having :)

Kai.....you still carry a hatchet? lol

There are a few people on here that swapped a 2rz in their trucks. One was a drift truck. Try doing a search on here for "Drift Truck" ....

15.4 is pretty sad... my decently built 22r that's undercarbed ran a 16.8.. my goal is an all motor low 15s

Ok thanks I'll take a look

Yah it's sad. If I throw some slicks I think I should hit 14's cause it was spinning da wheels

Yah I love the turbo! I got a gt25 from lce...the upgrade kit. I bought it from a guy over here

15.4 for a n/a truck is really good. my truck runs low 16's, top end built and a decent cam, with bolt on parts and a stock 220k+ bottom end lol
just waiting for the day when she decides to sh!t her rods out the side of the block
but i know i still have some tuning potential that has not been tapped yet.

how fast does it run right now?

    sounds like a tuning issue.
well, when i first started to drag race my truck -first issue i addressed was suspension. getting it low, and getting it to lift in the front and squat in the back. next was traction. getting good tires to hook hard and launch out the hole. i think i did this very well as out of the 40-50+ times ive raced, only a very few were able to get me out of the hole. only because i slept at the tree. having a good reaction time and a vehicle that can stick and shoot out of the hole will almost always win ----60ft times. if ur in front, its up to the other guy not to make a mistake and hopefully chase u down and pass u before u hit the traps.

Yah 15.4 is good for N/A but mines is turbo. I got a lc stage 3 head and they opened the chambers which dropped da compression to about 7.5:1 I think. So I'm Gona try up the boost more and then see how she goes. But I'll have to wait till February to test it on the track cause the season over till then.
It shoots out the hole like a B but the other guys creep up slowly from behind. I want try and get the speedfreak traction bars but I see it's made for the tacomas but I think it should fit on our pickup. I like them cause it doesn't lay low to the ground like other traction bars. Thanks for the info. Saving up for some slicks too

if u feel comfortable with the boost level, leave it.try retard the timing more, either on cam or the distributor. turbos and NOS likes/needs to have retard (so ive read/heard from all in the interwebs)
sounds like ur loosing at the top end. or the other guys just get more power lol , no shame in that. if ur launching good, then dont worry about the traction bars. its not helping u down the track. if u feel she launch good then u wanna focus on the top end. maybe a taller tire. try just use a reg street tire. use the time slips and compare the times. cheaper than investing +$400 on some slicks u may not need just yet.
**** small changes. document results. compare results****

Nice set-up I'm currently trying to get a 3RZ set-up for my 84 2wd for street and road course, if you run into any issues with the install please share because this is my first EFI build/swap and I can use all the help I can get. If all goes well I hope to have mine ready by 2016 lol.
